Understanding Men & their Health

Since the last post on Men’s Health I have received comments, requesting further information on this topic.  So here we go. Been researching to see if I can provide more interesting tips to help our men realise their health. As we all know, men think they are invincible and hate to go to the doctors even though they winge and moan about health discomforts.

Do you know that men learn about taking care of their health from the women in their life??!! good on you gals.

When they are young they concentrate in building six packs and looking good. To achieve that, they will go to any extreme and put them through disciplined torture.

But when they hit the middle age they become slack and we can see certain physical  changes including male pattern baldness, middle-age spread and decreased stamina. It is vital for men to look after their health when they approach middle age.  Not only we can see the physical changes, but there are certain health conditions that come with advancing years.

But this is not the be all end all. There are some steps men can take towards fixing these issues, limit the appearance of theses conditions and slow down their progression.

Healthy tips:

  1. Making the choice to be fit and healthy – Choose to walk and stretch when you are sitting still and choose healthy low GI  snack over sugary one.
  2. Find a goal you are passionate about – Incorporate whatever you like doing into your fitness routine to make it interesting. Enter a marathon to raise money for charity, start a jogging club with your friends, possibilities are endless.
  3. Have a positive attitude -  Have a positive attitude toward exercise, this will motivate you to exercise more.
  4. Look after your nutritional need – Make sure to take the right nutrient to match your level of health, fitness and lifestyle.
