How do vitamins and minerals leave the body?

Vitamins and minerals are “used” by the body. As they perform their function, they often use themselves up in the process, which is the case with most of the critical disease fighting antioxidants. Exercise and stress use a lot of the vitamins and minerals. Drugs, alcohol, coffee, tea and sodas wash vitamins and minerals out of the body creating deficiencies. Tobacco and alcohol can also reduce the absorption of vitamins and minerals, or accelerate the loss of them

What do we expect from the supplement?

We believe that they will work straight away and will be able to notice differences within days of taking them. It might be true when we take prescription medication for a condition. But benefits of nutritional supplement are fully visible between 6 to 12 months of taking them. Since it takes that much time to replenish any nutritional deficiency and optimize the body’s natural immune system, antioxidant defense system and repair system. If you are not committed to give the body a chance to work with the supplements you are taking, then do not start using it. Why waste money and effort if you are not committed.

Low Antioxidant Levels Associated with Hardening of the Arteries

A study looked at 220 men and women without a history of hardening of the arteries. Vitamin A, vitamin E, and Lycopene were decreased by over 50% in the participants who were found out to have hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis) when compared to those who did not have any hardening of the arteries. The researchers concluded that regular intake of foods rich in antioxidant vitamins (nutritional supplementation) may slow the progression of hardening of the arteries and its consequences (heart attack or stroke).
