What are the features of common weight loss program:

2/3 who lose weight on diets gain it back within 1 year and gain much more, also 98% of diets fail within 2 years. The reason of failure is, it provides short term solutions for a long term problem. Majority of diets are imbalanced and not healthy. It works for short term but you can’t use it for long term because some are harmful for the body if you exceed the recommended period.

Most common weight loss programs concentrate more on low carbohydrate diet this might be harmful for the body in the long term. Some people try crash dieting, which is a short-term solution that will increase your body fat levels in the long term and some people even try skipping meals, they may find that they will eat more when they do eat, and this may lead to a larger stomach capacity. This can then increase the amount of food they need at each meal before they feel ‘full’.

There is no magical dieting or quick lose kilos program to reduce your weight, you need to make small, achievable changes to your lifestyle. You need to change the way you eat and increase your physical activity.

A diet high in fruits and vegetables, wholegrains, legumes and low fat dairy products, and moderate in fat and kilojoules, is the best way to lose weight and keep it off.

I recently lost over 60lbs and went from size 42 waist to a 34. Exercise was a huge factor, but I would have to say what we eat and when is a more crucial factor. I try to eat 5-6 smaller protein-rich meals with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, I eat my biggest meal of the day in the morning and taper off with subsequent ones throughout the day. This helps get the metabolism going and keeps the appetite under control. Obese people often eat less than I do, except they skip breakfast, chug sugary sodas all day, snack on greasy carb-laden junk food and then gorge before dinner and up until bedtime. By doing that, you are essentially telling your body to store fats and metabolize foods at a slower rate.
