Obviously when you are spending so much money on one of the biggest and fabulous occasions of your life, you want to look your best. With so many wonderful things happening on your wedding day, you would not want to worry about the fitting of your dress or your double chin during the photo shoot. You will want to be able to have fun and entertain your guests at the same time without stressing about your looks.

When it comes to getting married, women put in a lot of effort to shed the extra pounds for the big day. But unfortunately, many brides-to-be resort to extreme measures and quick fixes to lose weight. Many people start fad diets, which are only meant for temporary weight loss and usually just release the water retained in their bodies. These weight loss regimens may seem to be working, but they tend to fail miserably.

Some of the greatest ways to lose weight include:

Eating Breakfast – Eating a good breakfast each morning can fire up your metabolism and give you the boost you need to keep going throughout the day. Not to mention it is the easiest meal to prepare. Eating breakfast has actually proven to help you lose weight, as people who eat a healthy breakfast tend to consume fewer calories during the rest of the day.

Pick Healthy Venues for Pre-wedding activities – There are going to be tons of occasions right before the big day; showers, parties, outings, and whatnot. The best thing to do is to pick a venue where you know they serve healthy, nutritious meals so that you do not go overboard when it comes to eating.

Limit Alcohol Intake – Alcohol lowers inhibition, and chances are when you are drunk, you will forget about your weight goals and overindulge. Not just that, but alcohol itself is pretty high in calories. Instead, choose diet friendly drinks and if possible, try to stick to water only. You do not want to drink away all your calories so try to limit the intake of alcohol as much as you can so that you can get that flat belly in time for the big day!

Keep Snacking – Do not let yourself get too hungry! When you are hungry, you tend to overeat. Keep healthy snacks like nuts, granola, and fruits nearby so that you can avoid eating any sort of junk food. While dieting, people experience all sorts of cravings. Healthy snacks help keep those cravings at bay.

Drink Water – Drinking plenty of water will help keep you full throughout the day. When you are full, you will eat less. A study published by the journal ‘Obesity’ shows that drinking water before each meal actually aids in weight loss! Keep a water bottle with you at all times and drink at least eight glasses of water a day.

Exercise – Stay active so that you can burn more calories during the day. Exercising as little as 15 minutes a day helps! Just remember not to confuse workload with exercise. Staying busy is not the same as working out. You need actual physical activity in order to stay in shape and lose the extra weight.
